Friday 26th March 2027

Arrive & settle in
  • Afternoon
    Check-in time TBC
    Check in at the Club Hotel, Emmaville 49 O'Donnell Street. We're confirming check-in time with the hotel. If you arrive early, the bar is open from 11 am and there's plenty of room to leave your bags.
  • Evening
    Dinner at the pub Nothing formal. The Club Hotel kitchen does pub meals; we'll be there. If you're coming in from the north, Deepwater Brewing does pizzas on Friday nights and is a good stop 30 minutes out.

Saturday 27th March 2027

The wedding
  • 3:15 pm
    Bus departs the Club Hotel The bus leaves from outside the pub for Ben's Falls Retreat (about 15 minutes). Please be ready a few minutes early. There are no child seats on the bus — families with little ones may prefer to drive.
  • 4:00 pm
    Ceremony On the cliff above the falls at Ben's Falls Retreat. Outdoors — bring a hat and something for your shoulders later.
  • ~5:30 pm
    Time TBC
    Reception On the property, straight after the ceremony. Drinks, dinner, speeches and dancing. Sunset is at about 6:58 pm.
  • Evening
    Time TBC
    Early bus back to the Club Hotel For anyone with kids, or who'd rather call it a night.
  • Late
    Time TBC
    Late bus back to the Club Hotel Last bus out. Let us know on your RSVP which one you're likely to take so we get the numbers right.

Sunday 28th March 2027

Recovery day
  • Morning
    Time TBC
    BBQ breakfast at Ben's Falls Bacon and eggs on the property, with vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free options. Come as you are.
  • Late morning
    Fishing, walks and a swim The Severn River runs through the property — cod fishing, canoes, bush tracks and rock pools. Bring swimmers, a towel, sturdy shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dusty.
  • Afternoon
    Out to the farm at Deepwater Ellen's aunt and uncle's farm, about 40 minutes away. Everyone's welcome to come along — or to head home when it suits. No pressure either way.

Getting between the pub and the venue

The Club Hotel and Ben's Falls Retreat are about 10 km apart — roughly 15 minutes by road, the last stretch along Morgans Road. A bus runs out before the ceremony and back afterwards (early and late runs), so nobody has to drive. If you'd rather take your own car — for kids' seats, or to leave early — there's parking on the property.

If you're staying at Deepwater or elsewhere rather than the Club Hotel, please note the bus only runs to and from Emmaville — you'll need to drive or arrange a lift.
